When it first came out of the kiln, it felt like the most mystical of the five pieces.
With a cloverleaf shape and enveloping curves when viewed from the side,
it complements a variety of dishes without being limited to either Japanese or Western tableware.
It has a presence but does not impose itself.

Established in the Edo period, Tsuji Seijisha began its history as a public kiln when the third-generation Kiemon's work was praised by Emperor Reigen in 1668. Since then, we have channeled the joy and pride of our creations being recognized by the Imperial Household into our craftsmanship, constantly striving to make products worthy of their distinguished role. These 350 years of history are our foundation.
In today's world, values are not monolithic. People's values are becoming more diverse, and the ways of taking delight in objects are becoming increasingly liberated. It is in this context that objects of true beauty stand out.

Tsuji Seijisha is a kiln making pottery for the public. We believe just as our ancestors in the joy and wonder beautiful objects can bring, and we strive to achieve a universality that resonates with today's world by continually refining our skills.

江戸時代に創業し、1668年、三代喜右衛門が納めた器が霊元天皇に賞賛されたことを機に、辻精磁社は公の窯元として歩みを始めます。以後私たちは、生み出すものが公（皇室）の品として評価される喜びと誇りを技に変え、栄職に恥じないものづくりを追求して参りました。そうして蓄積された歴史は、三百五十有余年。
現代においては、価値観は一元的になることはありません。人びとの価値観は多様性にとみ、ものの楽しみ方はますます自由になっています。しかしその中にあるからこそ、真の美しさをもつ品は際立つように思います。
